Programme Cancellation

Premiere Performances of Hong Kong announces the cancellation of Beare’s Premiere Music Festival 2021. In view of the current situation of COVID-19, with performance venues under the Leisure and Cultural Services Department closed until further notice, as well as continually-changing global travel and in-bound quarantine measures, the 2021 Beare’s Premiere Music Festival is unable to go on as planned. Goethe-Institut Hongkong is pleased to continue its support to the Beare’s Premiere Music Festival in 2021 with the performance of renowned German Baritone Benjamin Appl.

Benjamin Appl (Gramophone Young Artist of the Year (2016) and BBC New Generation Artist (2014-16)) returns to Hong Kong after his celebrated début in 2018 to perform one of the greatest vocal works ever written, Schubert’s Winterreise.  He will partner with Shai Wosner on piano, considered a “Schubertian of unfaltering authority and character” (Gramophone Magazine). Don’t miss this mesmerizing winter journey!
