Behind the facades: modern architecture

What is the first thing we see when we travel to a new place? Buildings. Architecture. They can be big and overwhelming, or small and unassuming. Together they form the distinctive identity of a city. In our Jan-Feb thematic book display, we invite you to a grand tour of German and European cities, see some of the great building projects of famous architects, and rethink the architectural landscape of our city Hong Kong. 

The thematic book display is divided into two parts: 
1. 3 January  - 28 February: The Many Faces of Modern Architecture
2. 17 January - 28 February: Projects of Famous Architects and Building Landscape in Hong Kong

Don't miss our exhibition and book launch "Hong Kong Modern Architecture of the 1950s-1970s" in the Goethe-Gallery and Black Box Studio too. There will be a free guided tour to the exhibition on Sunday, 13 February at 3:30PM. Click here for more details to the exhibition and the guided tour.
