Arts Prize Open Call|Hong Kong Human Rights Arts Prize 2022
- Price Free
Goethe-Institut Hongkong is pleased to support the annual Hong Kong Human Rights Arts Prize (HKHRAP) again this year by showcasing awarded and shortlisted artworks in the Goethe-Gallery and Black Box Studio. The theme for this year's HKHRAP is "Colours of Humanity". Goethe-Institut Hongkong will present the second annual InkluVision Award, which will be presented to an artwork that advocates an inclusive society without limitations, and defines inspiring visions.
Theme and entry procedure
The 2022 Arts Prize ‘Colours of Humanity’ is now open for entries to all Hong Kong based artists. We welcome entries from all sectors of the community. Entries will close at 5pm on 15 May 2022 and can be made at the ArtCall site, here.
Let this be a place to express your hope for your future. We will exhibit the works in an interactive and international virtual space. We are deeply grateful for your contribution to creating a colourful Hong Kong.
As with previous years, we ask artists to consider the theme of Refugee and Migrant Rights, and for this year’s additional theme, we ask artists to explore the topic of LGBT rights and inclusivity. Submissions by art therapy pratitioners are also highly welcome.
Entries can be made by any artist resident in Hong Kong, and each artist can submit more than one entry. Artworks can be in any form of media.
All artworks selected for exhibition are required to be donated to Justice Centre Hong Kong for auction.
