The largest global photography event of its kind, 24 Hour Project is a collective of thousands of photographers from over 900 cities in over 90 countries, who come together with the purpose of documenting humanity and raising awareness of pressing human/social issues, telling stories from their own city through street photography.

One day a year, for 24 consecutive hours.

This year, Hong Kong is hosting the exhibition for the first time, as the highlight of the 10th anniversary celebration, showcasing the best of many captivating street photography works in our city and around the world, from the last 10 years. Goethe-Institut Hongkong is pleased to support this very meaningful project by showcasing the exhibition in its Goethe-Gallery and Black Box Studio from December 2, 2022 to January 3, 2023.

Selected by international judges, it includes the top 99 printed photos and 100+ digital images from over 700 submissions worldwide.

With donations from participants and supporters, the project works in supporting various charities and NGOs from different countries. The theme for 2022 is Climate Action to support Yonton Te, a NGO for ecological and social transformation in Chiapas, Mexico.
