EU Street Art Meets Hong Kong – Meet the artists!

"EU Street Art Meets Hong Kong" is bringing four amazing artists from Czechia, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium and Ireland for HKWALLS 2024 to showcase their art and to interact both with local art community and other HKWALLS participants and local partners.
 
Tonight's event is dedicated to meeting the HK audience and introducing Street Art from various European countries through videos, an exhibition and artist sharings. Come and meet the European Artists who attend HKWALLS 2024 as well as discover pieces and contents related to Street Art movements in Europe.

Street Art has emerged in Europe in the 1970s and developed in the 80s and 90s with the Hip hop movement and graffiti. It is now very wide and varied but constantly present in EU streets and culture. Many cities and places are iconic for Street Art, like Berlin, Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Prague or Rome.

The exhibition will display videos, artwork reproductions, and will be an opportunity to chat with the artists and attend some live painting session.

"EU Street Art Meets Hong Kong" is jointly presented by EUNIC Cluster Hong Kong (Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Hong Kong, Goethe-Institut, Alliance Francaise, Italian Cultural Institute), Consulate General of Belgium, Consulate General of Ireland and HKWALLS, supported by EUNIC Cluster Fund, EU Office to Hong Kong and Macao and EUNIC Cluster Hong Kong members.
