More than four months 12 local Bandung practitioners from various fields together with Artati Sirman and Keni Soeriaatmadja conducted a workshop and discussing about what can we bring to the table to design sustainable daily practices in our cities? How can we mediate these sustainable public design and urban practices from multiple perspectives to inspire a broader public?

In collaboration with Bandung Design Biennale 2021 and Soy Division, Berlin, we initiated sharing sessions on the processes and ideas of what was implemented by the Kota Kita Nanti project, Bandung Design Biennale 2021 and Soy Division. Excavating the practice of design in urban cities, studying how community collaboration can be built organically, whether it is distance, space, time, or thought.

Sharing session will be implemented virtually through Zoom.

Kota Kita Nanti is a collaboration between Goethe-Institut Bandung, Keni Soeriaatmadja and Artati Sirman, Bandung Design Biennale and POT Branding House as well as twelve interactive booklet contributors: Arekha Bentangan, Emeraldi Paramaeswara, Febryan Tricahyo, Gadis Prameswari, Grace Sahertian, Mei Suling, Misha Ahmad Azizia, Ratna Ayu Budhiarti , Reyza Ramadhan, R. Yuki Agriardi, Tarlen Handayani, and Yanuar P.F. With an exhibition, a workshop series and a publication in November and December 2021, Kota Kita Nanti brings together twelve perspectives on how to design a more sustainable life in Bandung.

Ariel William Orah is a Berlin-based Indonesian artist who explores themes related to identity, memory, and scarcity. He fancies the durability of homo sapiens and the fragility of the machines. He is working with variety of media, ranging from sonic and other multi-sensory performances, physical and interactive installations, and moving and/or still images.  He co-founded an empathy driven artist collective L-KW , Bandung-based progressive rock band “Vincent Vega”, Berlin-based multi disciplinary art and culinary kollektiv  SOYDIVISION.BERLIN, and non profit cultural organization Diantara e.V.

Artati Sirman completed her BA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins, London, and obtained her MA in Art Business from Sotheby's Institute of Art London. Her main interests focus on art market research and arts management. She was an Assistant Director at ROH Projects for 3 years before relocating to Bandung in 2019 where she has been providing consultancy on commissioned projects for Gormeteria, and is now handling the PR & Media at Selasar Sunaryo Art Space (SSAS), Bandung, Indonesia. 
 
Keni Soertiaatmadja, Graduated from Ceramic Studio, FSRD ITB in 2002, Keni received the Ganesha Prize Award which gave him a scholarship for a short module in Museology at The Amsterdam School of The Arts. Keni completed his master's degree in Anthropology at FISIP UNPAD in 2019.  
From a grant from the Kelola Foundation, in 2015 Keni founded Sasikirana KoreoLAB & Dance Camp, a forum for the development of contemporary dance. Currently, he is developing DokumenTARI, a story-telling platform that is expected to be a source of studies for dance performers from various regions in Indonesia. 

Bandung Design Biennale (BDB) 2021 proposes Excavate: Mapping The Commons Across The Spectrum as its central theme. Held in November to December, BDB'21 intends to complement and regenerate the domestic panorama of the design context by mapping various actors through an excavation of thoughts, objects, and actions as a form of value diversification.

Soy Division is a performing art collective consisting of Berlin-based Indonesians, positioning itself in the intersection of art and activism. As a registered UG (Unternehmergesellschaft), Soydivision curated performances, organized workshops, culinary art activities, film screening, and discussion sessions. Their diasporic point of views offer an alternative approach to contemporary challenges through art, inviting a new kind of dialogues and engagement.
