Book of the month

Caroline Wahl 22 Bahnen (Version: Easy Reader)

Tilda studies mathematics, but alongside her studies she works at the supermarket cash register. She has to look after her little sister Ida and, on bad days, her sick mother too. The three of them live in a small town that Tilda hates and that her friends left behind long ago. Only Tilda has stayed because she has to take responsibility: for Ida, her mother and earning money. But suddenly things change: Tilda is offered a scholarship in Berlin and Viktor shows up, who, like her, swims 22 laps every day. Everything seems to be turning out well...

The novel is available in eBook and eAudio versions on Onleihe.

At first sight, the library feels cozy and warm, almost like a quiet retreat. But once you begin exploring the shelves, you discover works of real depth, especially in philosophy.
