A new course begins once a month (Reading module, Listening module, Combo). You can book the courses on our website (see link) or directly on-site at the Goethe-Institut in Jakarta or Bandung.

We recommend the exam preparation course after completing a B1 course. It can also be helpful if you need to repeat individual modules of the B1 exam.

All you need is your smartphone (Android or iOS operating system), WhatsApp and an internet connection.

Get started by registering on our online learning platform. You will receive all the information you need when the course begins.

Our online live sessions are held on Zoom. A link to the Meeting is sent to your WhatsApp. Normally you can use Zoom via web browser. No download is required.

Note on using various end devices:
Our course is currently not optimized for tablets. Their use may result in limited functionality. We therefore advise you not to use a tablet.

With our self-learning exam preparation, you will receive sets of online exercises every day via WhatsApp. These include sample exam tasks and strategy training as well as exercises designed to upgrade your vocabulary and grammar.

A teacher is available during fixed office hours to answer questions via WhatsApp chat. In weekly live online sessions, you will also have the opportunity to ask questions about course content, grammar and vocabulary, and even exam content.

You will first complete an online knowledge test to determine your current language level. In a live online session with your teacher, you will review the results and receive all essential information about the course structure and schedule.

This is followed by two 5-day online phases in which you receive daily exercises directly on your smartphone via WhatsApp message. You will work on these exercises independently and receive automated feedback. After each online phase, there will be another live online session with your teacher.

Finally, you test your knowledge in an exam simulation and receive automated feedback.

You should schedule about 2.5 hours a day for the course. The course duration of each module varies:

Reading module: 35 lessons, duration 12 days.
Listening module: 31 lessons, duration 12 days.
Reading + Listening Combo: Combined reading + listening offer: 66 teaching units, duration either 12 days if both modules are completed in parallel, or 24 days if the modules are completed one after the other. If the modules are completed one after the other, there is a 2-week break between the reading and listening modules.

• Working through the exercise sets: about 90-120 minutes daily.
• Chat support: about 30 minutes daily. A teacher is available to help you during fixed office hours via WhatsApp.
• Live online sessions: 3x Monday, 45 minutes each (Combo offer: 4x). You will discuss exam content in a group with professional staff and have the opportunity to ask questions.
