What is Onleihe?

The Onleihe is our German-language online library. More than 35,000 digital media titles are available for you to download, including books, audio books, films, materials for German learners, magazines, and newspapers. Anytime, anywhere, free of charge. The only requirement: you have a permanent place of residence outside of Germany.

Schritt 1: Registrieren

Set up a free account on Mein Goethe.de if you don't already have one.

Step 4: Get Started!

Select "Goethe-Institut" as the library in the Onleihe app and log in with your access data from Mein Goethe.de. Now you can borrow and reserve media.
