We support schools with engaging and diverse projects that motivate students to learn German. Our practical resources and materials are designed to enrich the classroom experience. Upon request, we also offer assistance with German language teaching for school groups.

    #ThinkLanguages Week

    We are delighted to announce that registration for #ThinkLanguages Week is now open and Goethe-Institut Irland will be a partner in this initiative. This event from Languages Connect will take place 17-21 November 2025, and Goethe-Institut Irland will open its doors for school visits to 37 Merrion Square on 18 November, 10 am to 2 pm.

    Enterprise German

    Careers with German promotes the collaboration between schools, universitires, and German companies or Irish companies with a relationship to German speaking countries  within the region. The project combines aspects of professional orientation with creativity and inventor spirit.

  • Conversation course

    Deutschland Aktuell

    Deutschland Aktuell is a free of charge German conversation course which takes place every Friday from 2pm to 3pm here at the Goethe-Institut in Room 4 of the Language Department.

  • Film Screenings for Children

    Children's Films at Goethe-Institut Irland

    Up to three times per term we screen children's movies at Goethe-Institut Irland. The screenings will take place on Saturdays after the children's courses, between 1 and 3 pm.

    The Goethe-Institut up close: provide your students with a direct and personal look into the German language and culture. We would be delighted to welcome your school groups to the Goethe-Institut Irland in Dublin.

Digital education projects

  • For 8- to 12-year-olds

    Digital Children's University

    How can autonomous cars drive themselves? Why does a shell make sounds if I hold it to my ear? Why do I need to sleep? The world is full of questions. And we have the answers – clearly explained and free of charge. Professor Einstein and Sophie Schlau look forward to meeting you!

  • For 12- to 14-year-olds

    Digital Junior University

    What does it look like in space? Where does electricity come from? And how does a robot function? As a student at our digital junior university, you will learn the answers to these and other questions, and improve your German at the same time, free of charge. Junior university is ideally suited to levels A1/A2 and A2/B1.
