German Digital Children's University – For children aged 8 to 12.

What does the Children's University offer?

The Digital Children's University offers kids exciting insights into a wide range of topics. With 3 faculties, 45 video lectures, and more than 360 interactive exercises, there's plenty for them to discover.

Children can learn, for example, how a driverless car works, why seashells make a humming sound, what an airplane and a tin can have in common, and how a 3D printer functions. And these are just a few of the many “how” and “why” questions answered by the Children's University.

Hello from the Children's University!

Professor Einstein welcomes you.

Children’s University at Home

We want to make sure that our university is truly accessible to everyone. In today’s world, there’s only one way to achieve that – by going online. This way, every child, even in the most remote corners of the country, has the opportunity to spark their interest in science.

For Parents

With a parent account, you can view all tasks at once to better understand the logic behind the learning process. You can also track your child’s progress.

Kinderuni at Schools

The digital KInderuni can be used for learning at school in various contexts and areas of application. The individual lectures can be used in class according to different topics or be applied outside class subject to learners’ interest or in conjunction with other subjects.

Relevant teaching materials can be found in the teachers’ section of the Kinderuni.

For topic-based DaF lessons

The individual lectures of the Digital Children’s University provide building blocks for teaching German as a foreign language (DaF). The aim is to support language learning through topic-based German lessons. German teachers (possibly in collaboration with subject teachers) can integrate the lecture topics into their lessons, expand on them, and explore them in greater depth.

For German teachers who would like to incorporate the Digital Children’s University into their lessons, didactic materials are available, including teaching guides and worksheets.
