The Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan India fosters international cultural exchange. Our cultural programs present German and global perspectives, showcasing artistic positions in contemporary art and social debates. We develop our projects and programs in close collaboration with Indian and international institutions, initiatives, and artists.

Science Film Festival

In 2025, India will celebrate the 9th edition of the Science Film Festival. The Goethe-Institutes in New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune, Bangalore, and Goethe Zentrum Hyderabad, in collaboration with their respective partner schools and institutions, will host the festival from October to December. This year, the festival focuses on “Green Jobs”.

Fellowship Programme

Journalism Connect

In an era of disinformation and shifting newsroom priorities, Journalism Connect fosters dialogue between emerging journalists from South Asia and Germany on rebuilding trust in the media. Through networking, workshops, and collaborative knowledge-sharing, the fellowship explores challenges such as declining trust in traditional media, AI-driven content creation, and the rise of misinformation.
