On the occasion of World Environment Week, the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Pune presents the Goethe Garten Pune. Spanning over 5,000 square metres, the garden is home to an impressive diversity of trees, plants, and habitats. What was once experienced primarily on-site is now visible to everyone, everywhere. The Goethe Garten Pune makes the botanical treasures of the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Pune digitally accessible. A place for learning, discovery, and wonder—both on-site and online. All project content is now also available in Marathi. Switch to Marathi using the language menu in the top right corner of the project page.

Biodesign recognises life as an interconnected web and encourages design practices that work with ecological systems rather than exploiting them.
By viewing materials as part of living, dynamic systems, the project promotes creative approaches that value symbiotic relationships between nature, technology, and culture, aiming to support balanced and respectful coexistence with the environment.

Docustan - Idea to Screen

Docustan, founded in India in 2023, is a vibrant social initiative dedicated to cultivating documentary filmmaking as both an art form and a sustainable creative practice. Through its flagship program, Docustan – Idea to Screen, emerging filmmakers from India and South Asia embark on an intensive five-month journey of residencies, mentorship, and masterclasses—guided by acclaimed global voices in documentary cinema. The result: powerful short films shaped by strong ethical, theoretical, and creative foundations, and a new generation of storytellers ready to bring their visions to the screen.
