REFUNCTION is a performance series at the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan, New Delhi. Applications are invited for a programme that aspires to encourage independent theatre artists and groups to create and develop new work, and offer them the space to present it at one of the city’s most vibrant cultural hubs. In this endeavour, we hope they push at the boundaries and limits of their work in material, technique and function. In 2018, Refunction will work towards programming three theatre productions, which will be staged at the Institut in August, October and December respectively.

Gender Bender

Gender Bender is the first festival of its kind in India that showcases new works of art around gender, as a concept, discourse, construct, and as art itself. In the last four years, it has transformed to more than a showcase festival, and has become a recognised space for conversations on gender with artists and audiences alike. We invite applications from artists who have things to say and work to display around the ideas of gender, in a way that has never been done before. You are encouraged to approach this theme in a critical way, in relation to your own perspective.

The deadline for the submission of applications is June 5, 2018.

Creative Documentary Course

CDC has been working in collaboration with Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan, and Thinking Film since 2017.

Third deadline for applications: Wednesday, 20 June 2018.

IIHS invites entries of films that speak to the idea of the city and explore urban questions.
