Call for Application – German learners in school

‘‘Vernetzte Welten - Food hacking '' is a student exchange program by the Goethe-Institut and Jugend hackt (German website). Vernetzte Welten is in itself an innovative programme, based on the workshop format of a youth-hackathon.It focuses on bringing together youngsters from India and Germany, providing a platform to brainstorm and prototypes around the topic- The Future Of Food.

International Translator Workshop Mülheim

Every year from May to June the International Theatre Institute (ITI Deutschland) together with the Mülheimer Theatertagen invites translators to a translation workshop in Mülheim an der Ruhr. It’s a space for wordsmithery, for sharing experiences, and finding fresh inspiration. Participants will be working with literary texts as well as being able to experience contemporary theatrical texts on stage at the festival. Mülheimer „Stücke“ - Festival is an excellent platform for contemporary, German-language theatre. The workshop is a great opportunity for participants to see current theatre productions as well as talk to dramatists and directors.

Call for papers: Autor*in/Dramatiker*in oder Expert*in aus Sprach/Literatur/Theaterwissenschaft für Beitrag gesucht

Gesucht wird ein/e Autor*in/Dramatiker*in oder Expert*in der Sprach-/Literatur-/Theaterwissenschaft aus dem nicht-deutschsprachigen Ausland für die thematische Gestaltung eines Seminarschwerpunkts im Rahmen der Internationalen Werkstatt "Theater übersetzen", basierend auf den eigenen Arbeitserfahrungen und Expertisen.
Das Thema des Beitrags sollte sich auf das Zusammenspiel und die gegenseitige Auswirkung von Übersetzung und Schreiben beziehen, die persönlichen Erfahrungen hiermit wiederspiegeln, und kann in Absprache mit der Leitung der Werkstatt konkretisiert werden. Das Goethe-Institut übernimmt Reisekosten (nach Mülheim und zurück) sowie für den Zeitraum von drei Tagen Aufenthalt, Übernachtung und die Theaterkarten zum Besuch der "Stücke", der Seminarbeitrag wird mit 300 Euro honoriert.

Science Film Festival

The Science Film Festival is a celebration of science communication. It promotes science literacy and facilitates awareness of contemporary scientific, technological and environmental issues. In 2019, the event takes place internationally in over 20 countries in Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and Africa from October 07 to December 23. ​The Science Film Festival is currently open to submissions from broadcasters, producers, filmmakers, film students, researchers, scientific organizations, NGOs, public organizations, and online channels. All films accepted into the annual official selection are in competition for six awards bestowed at the festival. The awards are complimented with a cash prize of 1 000 Euro each. The Prize of the Jury is complimented with a cash prize of 3 000 Euro.

The application form must be submitted by March 22, 2019. A pre-screening copy should be submitted no later than March 25, 2019.
