Goethe-Youth Camp in Wayanad

When: 25.05 - 29.05.2023
Where: Wayanad, Kerala
Who: German students from class 9 and above in the academic year 2023/24
Topic: Be inventive & become an entrepreneur.

We are organizing a youth camp for German learners from class 9 onwards (academic year 2023/24) in Wayanad, Kerala from 25.05.2023 to 29.05.2023. Youth camps are a wonderful opportunity to get to know young people of the same age during a colorful program. It is not only about doing workshops, getting to know the camp location and having fun together, but also about the language German and Germany as a future destination country.

WHAT IS THE THEME OF THE YOUTH CAMP?

Be inventive, become an entrepreneur and start your own business. This is the motto of this year's youth camp in Wayanad. Participants will learn through play what steps are taken to make a creative idea successful in business terms. From brainstorming, to formulating a business and communication plan, to creating a website.

WHERE WILL THE YOUTH CAMP BE HELD?

For our youth camp in May, the Resort Abad Brookside Lakkidi was selected. The resort sits in the backdrop of one of the most beautiful places in Kerala and is nestled in the lush green mountains and misty landscapes of Wayanad. Wayanad is the perfect place for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Participants will be accommodated in 3-bedded rooms and will be provided with 3 meals per day including coffee and tea breaks.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

To participate in the youth camp, participants must meet the following criteria:
  • studying in grade 9-12 in the academic year 2023/2024,
  • continuing German Language.
  • cleared at least the FIT-1 or FIT-2 exam,
  • not yet participated in a Goethe Youth Camp before,
  • vaccinated against Covid at least 2 times.
Due to limited numbers, only two students per school can be selected.

HOW TO REGISTER?

Registration is done only through the German language teachers at our partner schools. If you have any questions about registration, please talk to your German teacher or contact the person listed below.

HOW IS THE YOUTH CAMP FINANCED?

To participate in the youth camp, students must pay the airfare and a registration fee directly to the travel agency. The remaining costs for transportation, accommodation, insurance and the programme will be covered by us. The starting and ending point of the trip is New Delhi. Should participants travel from outside New Delhi, they will have to bear the costs themselves.
