Continuing with our successful event series in 2019,
Artistic Encounters brings together the work of two different artists in one space at the same time. The artists who are part of
Artistic Encounters bring their individual art to the stage while engaging with the art of the artist they are working with. Together they create new work on stage, showing that art can cross genres. Among the participating artists are painters, poets, musicians, some writers and performers.
The session in October will include German-based trumpeter John-Dennis Renken and Swahili poet Alamin Somo, before we end the year with a special highlight in the November edition. Both sessions are curated by Zukiswa Wanner.
