A Multimedia View

Multimedia/digital artists from France, Germany and Kenya have been invited to create artwork that highlights and explores women’s political participation in the three countries through digital installations.

JUDITH DARMONT is an interdisciplinary and sensorial digital artist, working mainly between Paris and Tel Aviv. She experiments with the ever evolving digital techniques to create cutting-edge digital content, installations and digital happenings. A pioneering artist, Judith has made creative short films & video artworks, sequenced live at some of the best branding parties around the world and created motion picture illustrations for musicians, festivals and artistic events.

SONYA SCHÖNBERGER:
In her work `A Woman In German Politics`, Schönberger gives the stage to a young representative of the Greens Party at the Lower House of German Parliament to let her tell how she entered politics and how much it played a role throughout her whole life. By looking back at her past, we understand her today. Sonya Schönberger’s artistic work is mainly a search for traces in German history. Based on biographical experiences of witnesses from a certain time and re-discovered fragments that tell stories from past times and worlds, different works in various media develop.

JEPCHUMBA is a digital artist from Kenya. She describes her work as conversations between multiple generations simultaneously. Driven by a fascination for myth making, her work combines the discipline of code, form, concept and mechanisms in order to materialize African digital connections.
