You are invited to the
Kistrech Poetry Festival, this September at the Goethe-Institut Nairobi.
The annual festival aims at bringing local and international poets together on one platform to promote poetry and cultural exchange.
The 7th edition will take place between 6th & 10th September 2019, with a session at the Goethe-Institut on Saturday 7th September.
The event will feature big names in international poetry and spoken-word, including Morten Langelands (Norway), Erlend Wichne (Norway), Darlin Mikki (USA), Rosemarie Wilson a.k.a One SingleRose (USA), Thomas Boberg (Denmark), Zhao Si (China), Professor Libor Martinek (Czech Republic), Dean Bowen (Netherlands), and Maria Mistrioti (Greece).
Participating Kenyan poets include Dr. Christopher Okemwa, Dr. Evans Mecha, Dr. Bwocha Nyagemi, Dennis Ombui, Adipo Sidang', Constany Oteki Mose, Celestine Alovi Liyeya, Kennedy Karinga, Titus Odhiambo Otila, Margaret Wairimu, Lewis Wamwanda, Cliff Oyugi Kerage, Jael Kemuma Migiro, Richard Maisiba, Dorothy Nyandega, Alfred Nyamwange, Caren Jepkogei, Faith Gacheri, Marthar Oyuga, Harisson Omambia Anyango, Aloys Tumbo Angwenyi, Josephat Ndege Mauti, Robert Onteri Nyabuto, Flaviour Tong’i, Sheilah Kemunto Benson and Elly Omullo.
The guest poets, will perform at the Goethe Institut-Nairobi on Saturday 7th September before travelling to Kisii University on Sunday 8th September for the main event.
