Lucy Gasser is currently lecturer in Anglophone literary and cultural studies at the University of Potsdam, where she completed her PhD in 2019. She was a fellow of the Research Training Group Minor Cosmopolitanisms, was a visiting researcher at Delhi University, and holds a master degree from the University of Cape Town. She is one of the founding editors of poco.lit., and has published in the fields of postcolonial studies and world literature. Her first book, East and South: Mapping Other Europes, will be published in June 2021. She grew up in South Africa and has lived in Berlin since 2014.
