Modulation & Mobilization: Motivation in the Classroom

The first Philippine German Language Teachers’ Conference was held on May 20, 2019, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the University of the Philippines Diliman. Educators from across the country gathered under the theme "Modulation & Mobilization: Motivation in the Classroom" for a day of professional development, networking, and collaboration.

The event began with a welcoming ceremony, featuring remarks from Mr. Thorsten Gottfried (German Embassy Manila) and Ms. Glenne Basio (Department of Education), followed by interactive networking activities.

Participants then engaged in specialized workshops, covering topics such as skill development, digital teaching, game-based learning, and specialized language instruction, led by experts from various institutions.

After the lunch break, the event featured a music performance by Ms. Yvette Parcon, adding a cultural highlight. A significant milestone was reached with the founding of the Philippine German Language Teacher Association, introduced by Mr. Vic Manapaarc (University of the Philippines Diliman).
