Green Jobs

The Science Film Festival focuses on Green Jobs in 2025, highlighting professions that are essential in promoting and preserving the environment. Green jobs provide young people with an opportunity to not only create a meaningful impact on the world, but also build a sustainable career. Given the global focus on sustainability and eco-friendly practices continues to grow, the significance of green jobs stands at the forefront of the crucial worldwide shift towards a low-carbon economy.

Programme and Films

The selection jury chose 45 films from 16 countries, offering a diverse program designed for children from primary school age and older. The selection combines entertainment with education, encouraging meaningful dialogue in classrooms and the wider community.

The films are subtitled or dubbed into English where necessary to allow accessibility for young audiences.

These films can be conveniently watched online through a secure streaming platform. Register to enjoy all films anytime from home for free.

Teaching Resources & Toolkits

The festival’s accompanying program also includes educational activities developed by experts.

As a new initiative this year, the Goethe-Institut Singapore has come up with our very own toolkits in response to some of the selected films in the festival.

The toolkits provide hands-on activities and clear instructions for teachers to conduct them in their own classrooms. This is a great post-exam initiative and should be simple and easy to carry out! The activities have been suited to the local school curriculum as close as possible yet providing something fun and interactive for students to complete.
