TERMS OF PAYMENT
Fees are payable in full on enrolment, no later than 5 working days* after registration.
We only accept payment via bank transfer.
Failure to make payment on or before the stipulated date will result in cancellation of your booking without further notice.
The contractually binding fee is the fee stated on the website of Goethe-Institut Singapore.
CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Change of examination date:
One time only, up to 15 working days* before the examination date, free of charge, subject to availability.
Cancellations:
Up to 15 working days* before the examination date free of charge.
14 - 10 working days* ahead of the examination date subject to an administrative fee of S$90.
9 working days* or less before the examination date no refund can be given for cancellations.
Cancellations and requests to change the examination date must be submitted in writing. The date of cancellation shall be the date of receipt at the Goethe-Institut Singapore.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
The offered examinations are recommended for adult participants (16 years and above), unless stated otherwise.
Once an examination is fully booked, we cannot accept more participants even if the registration deadline has not expired.
Examination participants are advised to ensure adequate language proficiency before registering for a Goethe exam. If you are unsure about your language level, please consult our exam coordinator (
email) for advice before registering.
LANGUAGE CERTIFICATES
From 1st January 2025 the Goethe-Institute Singapore is issuing all exam certificates and participation confirmations as digital certificates only. The documents can be accessed via the
MeinGoethe platform. Upon completion of the exam, participants will receive an email correspondence with instructions on how to access the documents. In case of any questions, please contact the Language Office (
email).
For the period of 1st January 2025 to 30th June 2025 printed certificates and participation confirmations can be issued upon request free of charge. From 1st July 2025 onwards an administration fee of S$30 will apply per document.
GOETHE-INSTITUT LIABILITY / FORCE MAJEURE
The liability of the Goethe-Institut and its employees is limited to intent and gross negligence. The Goethe-Institut is also not liable for disruption to its services due to force majeure (e.g. natural disaster, fire, flood, war, official orders, and all other circumstances beyond the control of the contract parties).
When an extraordinary event or circumstance beyond the control of Goethe-Institut such as war, strike, riot, crime, epidemic or an event described by the legal term act of God (hurricane, flood, earthquake, volcanic eruption, etc.), we will offer course adjustments (e.g. room or class schedule).
