At the September German Book Club meeting, we will discuss Angelika Klüssendorf's Das Mädchen (Kiepenheuer&Witsch, 2011. ISBN 978-3-462-04284-9).

A tale of growing up in East Germany in the 70s, in an environment that did not allow much of a childhood. The survival strategy: take what you need.
