The Bärbeiß is a big grudge. It retains its bad mood, although it lives in an idyllic place. The Tingeli, who lives next to the Bärbeiß, tries to lure him out of reserve with happiness and friendliness.

Annette Pehnt (* 1967) is a writer and lives with her family in Freiburg. She studied and worked in Ireland, Scotland, Australia and the USA and tought Poetry at University. In addition to numerous awards, Pehnt won the Förderpreis zur Künstlerinnen Nordrhein-Westfalen in 2001, the jury of the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in 2002, the Hermann Hesse Prize in 2012, and the Baden-Württemberg Culture Prize in 2017.


Pham Tam Dan (* 2001) is an actively engaged for traditional Vietnamese art and culture. As a child of a family of diplomats she was born in Hanoi, but went to school in Berlin, Germany, until the 7th grade. After returning to Vietnam, she first visited the Nguyễn Siêu School, then the International School of Vietnam (ISV). "The Bear Bite" is her first book translation.
