Reading should be fun - even in German! It is not necessary to understand every word. The important thing is that students enjoy reading and improve their reading skills.

To promote reading fun in German classes, we have compiled current German-language books for young readers with topics and styles that appeal to students.

Lending
As a teacher in the Netherlands, you can borrow the book boxes and class sets from us for three to four months.
The shipping costs are € 10 per package.

A prerequisite is that you are personally a member of the Goethe Library.
There are no school memberships.
A membership costs € 20 for one year or € 30 for two years.
Please send the signed enrollment form (see download) as a scan to Wolfgang.Schreiber@goethe.de.

It is not possible to reserve book boxes and class sets online.

All our book boxes contain 30 books. However, you can also borrow fewer or even more books.
There are 6 book boxes with Easy Readers written especially for German learners, at language level A1 and A2. Furthermore, there are 3 book boxes with youth books at language level A2, B1 and for advanced students from language level B1 and B2 there are several book boxes with 30 different German youth books.
