"Ein Leben ohne Bücher ist wie eine Kindheit ohne Märchen, ist wie eine Jugend ohne Liebe, ist wie ein Alter ohne Frieden." [A life without books is like a childhood without fairy tales, is like youth without love, is like old age without peace.] (Carl Peter Fröhling, germanist and philosopher)
Discover great new publications for children from German-speaking countries. The recommendations are about topics like AI or ghosts, for example. You can read refugees' stories and meet a math ace. In addition, a current children's book features funny family conversations about sex, and yet another depicts the social and cultural diversity in which we live. Furthermore, children's books by Nikolaus Heidelbach will be presented: in his books, he likes to mix the funny with the terrible of the children's world. Of course, digital reading formats are not forgotten.
The recommendations for young people are about unusual love stories, teenagers with aggression problems or friendship, but also about the challenges of growing up. In addition to that, some books are presented that deal with diversity and historical events.
What book will you be reading with your learners soon? Feel free to write us at deutschstunde@goethe.de.
