Description
Female students still rarely opt for a field of study in STEM areas (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology). They generally have a personal interest in scientific and technical topics, but for various reasons the majority decide against a course of study or training in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences or technology.
The number of women pursuing STEM professions is low. Technical and scientific professions are still dominated by men. Yet the STEM field offers good prospects for women.
With our podcast "MINT FÜR Frauen" (STEM FOR women), we want to offer schoolgirls and young women guidance to get them excited about the STEM field.
In six episodes, tech-savvy and dedicated women from the STEM field give exciting insights into technical and science fields, talk about their experiences and challenges.
The podcast aims to contribute to STEM education in Africa, with a focus on promoting girls and women in STEM professions. The podcast is in German.
