On the 20th of November 2019, the University of Melbourne opens its doors to local kids. Primary school students, teachers and parents are invited to experience an event packed with science. For one day, kids will step into the shoes of university students, taking part in workshops and lectures and conducting fun experiments with real researchers.
How do we get rid of space debris that orbits the earth? What can we do to halt resistance to antibiotics? These and similar questions are explored by the students at the science workshops.
The Girls' Day - the biggest career orientation project for girls worldwide - comes to Australia! The aim of this campaign is to expand the range of career choices for women and to promote diversity in the workplace.
Enterprise German is designed for schools that want to build a bridge to the world of work or expand their business contacts. The project combines aspects of professional orientation with an idea contest that stimulates the students’ creativity and inventor spirit.
Teams of students explore the ecological situation in their place of residence, street or school. With concrete ideas and actions, they draw attention of the public to the existing ecological situation.
This project, which was developed by Russian and German research institutes and focuses on education for sustainable development, will be offered as a national project in Australia for the first time this year.
