“The Legend of Paul and Paula” was one of the most successful movies shot in the GDR. Released in 1973, it was directed by Heiner Carow. It is the humorous love story of Paul and Paula (Angelica Domröse,Winfried Glatzeder). After the leading actors fled to West Germany, the film was no longer shown in the GDR-theatres, but it became a cult movie in the 1990s.

The film will be shown in German with English subtitles. Afterwards there will be a moderated discussion.
