OPEN CALL FOR TENDERS No. 004/09/2026-GIK – Maintenance of the Electrical System and Fire Alarm System
The Goethe-Institut Kamerun hereby invites qualified service providers to submit tenders for the provision of preventive and corrective maintenance services for the electrical system and fire alarm system at its premises. The contract will be concluded for the period from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027.
The contract may be divided into two lots, which may be awarded jointly or separately.
The Goethe-Institut is the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, active worldwide. Its objectives are to promote the German language abroad, foster international cultural cooperation, and present a comprehensive picture of Germany.
1. Scope of Services
The services to be provided shall include, but are not limited to:
Lot 1 – Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of the Electrical System
- Maintenance, servicing and repair of electrical installations and equipment, including switchboards, wiring, lighting, sockets, etc.;
- Troubleshooting and repair of electrical, electronic and electrotechnical components;
- Carrying out preventive maintenance work;
- Participation in the installation, modification and commissioning of electrical systems;
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental protection requirements;
- Documentation of all maintenance work carried out and faults identified.
Lot 2 – Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of the Fire Alarm System
- Maintenance, inspection and servicing of fire alarm and fire detection systems;
- Analysis of malfunctions and professional resolution of technical issues;
- Functional testing in accordance with applicable standards and regulations;
- Documentation of maintenance and inspection activities;
- Assistance with the installation, extension and commissioning of the systems;
- Compliance with safety, quality and fire protection requirements.
The contract shall be concluded for a period of one year, from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027.
3. Eligibility Requirements
The tender is open to companies that:
- Are legally established and registered in Cameroon;
- Have proven experience in electrical maintenance and fire safety systems;
- Can provide relevant technical references for similar assignments;
- Are up to date with their tax and social security obligations.
The tender dossier shall include:
- A signed letter of submission;
- The company’s administrative and legal documents;
- A company profile and relevant references;
- A detailed technical proposal;
- A detailed and fully costed financial proposal.
- Tenders will be evaluated on the basis of:
- Administrative compliance;
- Quality and relevance of the technical proposal;
- Experience and qualifications of the bidder;
- Overall cost of the services.
