Call for applications: Graphic designer
The Goethe-Institut Kamerun is seeking a graphic design consultant for the period from 1 January 2027 to 30 June 2028.
The Goethe-Institut is the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, operating worldwide. Its objectives are to promote knowledge of the German language abroad, foster international cultural cooperation, and present a comprehensive picture of Germany through information on its cultural, social and political life.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design print and digital communication materials (posters, flyers, brochures, programmes, banners, social media visuals, etc.) in accordance with the Goethe-Institut’s corporate design guidelines.
- Develop and adapt visual identities for specific projects and initiatives.
- Ensure the visual consistency and quality of the Institute’s communication across all materials, in accordance with its corporate design guidelines.
- Adapt and resize graphic designs for different formats and communication channels (website, social media, posters, printed materials, etc.).
- Provide photographic coverage of selected internal events and activities, including taking photographs, selecting and organising images, performing basic photo editing, and producing short video clips for social media.
- Contribute, when necessary, to the visual and technical preparation of materials for the Institute’s events and activities.
- Ensure the archiving and organisation of all graphic design and photographic files produced.
Applicants will be assessed against the following mandatory eligibility criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in visual arts or graphic design, or at least one year of professional experience in a similar role.
- Availability to work on-site in Yaoundé for at least 50% of the time.
- Quality of work (portfolio): demonstrated through at least three examples of completed projects (50%).
- Price / Fee (50%).
