Mubba is a Tanzanian jazz bassist, songwriter, and composer, drawing influence from legends like Richard Bona, Ettiene Mbape, Marcus Miller, Tatu Nane, Jimmy Dludlu, Jonathan Butler, and Hugh Masekela.
His sound seamlessly blends traditional African rhythms with cool, smooth jazz, with the bass guitar often stealing the show of course! This unique fusion allows his music to resonate with diverse cultures across Africa and other corners of the world. She continues to collaborate with various dancers, choreographers, and directors.
In 2015 and 2016, she participated in two creative residencies in Accra, Ghana, with Kuyum Art Company and American artist Kenturah Davis, in partnership with the Alliance Française.
