Dont' be afraid - Dealing with Isolation, Homesickness, and Loneliness

In this 120-minute workshop, you’ll learn how to navigate difficult emotions and feel more grounded in your new surroundings in Germany.

Through gentle reflection, practical tools, and shared experiences, we’ll explore how to turn challenges into opportunities for connection and growth.
Together with language coach and Ver-Steh-Café founderJana Novin, we’ll explore practical strategies to help you:

  • Understand what’s behind feelings of homesickness and isolation
  • Cope with loneliness in a healthy, compassionate way
  • Build emotional resilience and manage stress
  • Find comfort in shared experiences and supportive connections
Whether you're new to Germany or have been here for a while - this workshop will help you feel less alone, more emotionally grounded, and better equipped to handle the ups and downs of life in a new country.  
Who is the course aimed at?

The project is co-financed by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) and is aimed at third-country nationals in Germany and about to enter Germany. Students are not part of the target group.
 
You can register if you are a third-country national and if you have one of these residence permits:
  • Residence permit to carry out vocational training, search for a training place, recognition of foreign professional qualifications, work, job search, spouse or family reunification
  • EU Blue Card 
  • Opportunity card visa (Section 20a AufenthG) or Visa to look for a training place (Section 17 (1) AufenthG)
  • Residence permit in accordance with Section 24 (1) AufenthG
Persons who are still in their country of origin and/or do not yet have one of the above residence permits can identify themselves with their national ID card or passport.
