Founded in 1998, the German Cultural Centre (Deutsches Kulturzentrum) promotes German culture in Tampere through an active programme of cultural events. Financially supported by the City of Tampere, the Finnish-German Association (Finnisch-Deutscher Verein), and the Goethe-Institut, the centre also offers training opportunities for German teachers in partnership with the Goethe-Institut Finnland.
