A meeting-point and how to get started

The Finnish Institute for Children’s Literature and the Goethe-Institut invite you to a webinar on how to create inclusive children’s literature. The webinar will be held in English and is open to the public.

Both the majority and the minorities need children’s literature that reflects society’s diversity. What kind of books do we need so that all children feel included in the stories? How does one write and publish an inclusive children’s book? We invite all new and existing children’s authors, illustrators and publishers as well as everyone working with children’s literature to attend our webinar.
The presentations cover areas in research, writing and illustration as well as publishing. The participants will have the possibility for networking at the end of the webinar.
