MOVING GHANA is an initiative by the Goethe-Institut Ghana to support professional creative practitioners living and working in Ghana who are invited to attend a festival, event, biennale, conference, workshop or residency abroad, and seek support for their travels. The programme aims at supporting creative practitioners to enhance research, networking and showcasing their work to a wider audience.
Cultural practitioners are now invited to apply for travel support to attend festivals, events, conferences, or residencies taking place between
August 1 and November 30, 2025.
To be eligible, the event must start on or after
August 1, 2025, and conclude no later than
November 30, 2025.
MOVING GHANA supports professional travels within Ghana, Africa, and to Germany.
To ensure timely processing, the application must be submitted at least four weeks before the planned travel date.
The following criteria apply to the call for applications. Please read them carefully before completing the
application form. We do not accept applications via email.
Please note: Usually, more applications are submitted than there are funds available, and the Goethe-Institut is not obliged to explain the decision. There is no entitlement to funding. Once no more funds are available (or, for example, only domestic travel is available), we will announce it on this page.
