Goethe-Institut Hongkong is pleased to co-present with the School of Drama of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts again on the “Berliner Theatertreffen in Hong Kong”. Video recordings of two recent productions from the Berliner Theatertreffen, namely LAIOS and THE BUCKET LIST, will be screened in the first week of January at the Drama Lab. For this special edition, Goethe-Institut Hongkong has invited Florian Malzacher to conduct post-screening discussions on LAIOS and BUCKET LIST, moderated by Janice Poon, Senior Lecturer (Playwriting and Dramaturgy) and Academic Project Officer, School of Drama, The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

What guilt do the ancestors pass down to their descendants? Karin Beier and Roland Schimmelpfennig place Oedipus’ father Laios at the centre of their astute re-writing of ancient myths, superbly performed by Lina Beckmann.
