In German class, ESD can be integrated through real-life topics, such as waste separation and recycling, sustainable consumption, and other issues related to everyday life.
This presentation focuses on teaching ideas related to sustainability that can be incorporated into German language classes. The goal is to encourage students to think critically and collaboratively, to strengthen their environmental awareness, and to empower them to act sustainably.

Leonardus Dianprastiawan
is a German teacher with more than ten years of teaching experience. He currently teaches at SMA Kolese De Britto in Yogyakarta. He is convinced that language is not just a set of rules but should serve as a bridge to real-life experiences. He enthusiastically encourages his students to experience German as part of their everyday lives.

Siti Samsiah
has been teaching German at SMA Dwiwarna (boarding school) since 2010. After graduating from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in German Language Teaching at Universitas Pattimura (Unpatti). She is deeply committed to continuously improving German instruction and developing innovative, communicative, and real-life-oriented teaching and learning concepts for students.
