To give the participants an impression of young, contemporary German literature the author Senthuran Varatharajah has been invited. His first novel Von der Zunahme der Zeichen published in 2016 has been highly acclaimed by German literary critics.

On 19th February, Monday at 18:30 hrs, Senthuran Varatharajah will read from his book on the Rooftop of the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Pune. 

Before the reading session on 19th February, Senthuran Varatharajah will run a workshop for selected groups (by invitation only) in the library of Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan Pune.

Born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka in 1984 Senthuran Varatharajah came to Germany with his family. He studied philosophy, theology and cultural sciences in Marburg, Berlin and London. He has received a number of awards amongst them the 2017 Adalbert-von-Chamisso Promotional Prize. Senthuran Varatharajah presently lives in Berlin.
