The Onleihe is Goethe-Institut’s digital library. More than 20,000 eBooks, audiobooks, movies, materials for German language learners, magazines and newspapers are available for downloading from the Onleihe. Although most of the material is in German, you will find several novels by German authors translated into English as well as movies with subtitles in English.

After registration and activation, you can use the Onleihe media on your PC, laptop and mobile devices (Android and iOS). Free of charge. Free of advertisements. Anytime and anywhere.
