Around 7.3 million Filipinos consider themselves food poor, according to a recent survey by the Social Weather Stations. Despite this number, food wastage is a real problem in the Philippines. There may be enough food in the country for everyone, yet 296,869 metric tons of rice is wasted every year in the country, enough to feed two million Filipinos. The film traces how food is wasted from production to consumption and portrays in Samar, where poverty and malnutrition are at alarming levels, those suffering from lack of food – children who are severely wasted.

No Food Waste Party!

Screenings followed by an interactive discussion and planning a No Food Waste Party! Participants work together to tackle a special challenge! As young adults they want to throw a fun party for their friends, but only have food waste with which they must create an attractive and yummy party menu! Can they do it?!

Key Objective: 

• To Create / Increase Awareness of food waste and inspire and mindful creative usage and consumption of food.
