Join us at the Goethe-Institut and the Alliance Française for the 11th edition of Agenda 14 Short Film Festival.

Since 2011, Agenda 14 has been spotlighting the work of young filmmakers in Sri Lanka. From Best Short Film to Gender Sensitive Film, Human Rights Prize, Best Micro Short Film, Best Animated Short Film,Experimental Film, and the Green Award, the festival celebrates bold stories and fresh voices. A special highlight: the Most Promising Filmmaker Award for a standout talent under the age of 24. With Arsenal on Location, Arsenal is now bringing a selection of restored films to the Film Forum and the Festival. The film DE CIERTA MANERA (Cuba, 1974) will also be discussed in detail in a Masterclass on Arsenal’s archival practice and restoration projects, led by Markus Ruff.

In 2025, Arsenal – Institute for Film and Video Art will move to the silent green Kulturquartier in Berlin. Until the opening of the new cinema in 2026, Arsenal on Location will present a wide range of restored film programs at various venues, collaborating with local, national, and international partners, including the Goethe-Institut. In doing so, it explores the role of cinema as a social and cultural practice.
