Science Film Festival
Artifical Intelligence
This year’s festival explores the theme of Artificial Intelligence – its possibilities, its impact on our lives and societies, and the questions it raises for our future. The Malaysian Nature Society will further expand the festival's outreach through its network of 417 School Nature Clubs, reaching more than 16,000 students. The long-standing partnership with the Association of Science, Technology and Innovation (ASTI) will continue through online engagement activities targeting students, educators, and local communities.
About the festival
Science Film Festival is an international film festival which promotes scientific literacy and facilitates awareness of contemporary scientific, technological and environmental issues through international films with accompanying education activities.
This annual event is organized by the Goethe-Institut with support from various partners, including government agencies, state education departments, universities, NGOs, and film communities.
During the festival period, the films selected by the Malaysian juries are made available on VIMEO for free and are accessible by schools and the public, along with a range of online and physical activities organized by the local partners.
The project partners this year are Association of Science, Technology and Innovation (ASTI), University Malaya, Kementerian Pendidikan Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia, Malaysian Nature Society and PASCH Initiative “Schools: Partners for the Future)".
