THEATRE PERFORMANCE IN GERMAN LANGUAGE

A theatre performance which really should not start like this:
What does a child do when he fears for his mother?

The central character in Veronika finds an exquisitely simple solution:
He notes down moments that make life worth living. These form a set of guidelines:
Waterfights. Tiramisu. Brimstone Butterflies...
This list is meant to help his mother out of her depression.
A seemingly simple way of making life worth living and practising gratitude for the good things in life.
And yet this positive process, although pleasant, is certainly not the easiest. It demands total concentration on the here and now.

In a small way, this play deals with the big themes of life - the highs and lows, beliefs, death and love. It gets under your skin and finds its way deep into your heart. It also makes the audience laugh. It transforms the catastrophe of depression and identity crises into a solo performance that seems to float in the air with lightness and confidence despite the intrinsic sadness.

The play is performed in a small, intimate setting. Not a large space. No stage set, not even a stage. The actor is not on a raised platform but on the same level as the audience.
An unusual play which involves the viewers in an unconventional manner, inviting them to join in and thus creating a moving and entertaining theatre experience.
