- Part of series: Dealing in Distance
As part of the Dealing in Distance travelling art festival, this listening session invites audiences to slow down and listen to Southeast Asia through vinyl on February 1, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Chapterhouse, Library Una. Drawing from the personal record collection of Filipino sound archivist Erick Calilan, the session features music from the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and beyond, offering a shared listening experience shaped by migration, memory, and movement.
Curated and presented by Calilan, the vinyl DJ set brings together songs and recordings that have travelled across borders and generations. Known for his practice as a sound artist, hardware hacker, and experimental musician, Calilan approaches sound as both archive and experience, creating space for attentive listening and quiet discovery.
