Panel discussion at the Seoul International Book Fair 2018

In the novel “The World at Your Back,” author Thomas Melle describes his manic depression. The book is currently being translated into ten Asian languages. In the translation process, the translators are connected via an Internet platform that allows for interaction options in the text of the e-Book.
 
The results of this first Social Translating Project, which was developed by the Goethe-Institut in partnership with Merck Korea, will now be presented at the Seoul International Book Fair 2018. Thomas Melle and the Korean translator, Ki-Sook Lee, will speak about their experiences with the discourse on the platform as well as about the special challenges that the text posed for the translators.

The discussion will be moderated by Buhan Yoon of the Literature Translation Institute of Korea.
