Goethe-Institut Istanbul is looking for Communication Coordinator for “Spaces of Culture”. The position is full-time. There is a possibility of working part-time (65%). The position is limited in time until December 31st, 2024. The starting date is May 15, 2024, or later.
Essential duties:
- Overall coordination of communication and public relations for the international project “Spaces of Culture”
- Conceptualization and creation of content for internal and external communication
- Content management for the project’s website (WordPress) and social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube)
- Conceptualization and coordination of the creation of visual content (photo, video) and its use for internal and external communication
- Editing, coordination and distribution of texts and publications in Turkish and English digitally and in print
- Applying corporate design on the production of printed and digital materials
- Coordination of translations and ensuring linguistic accuracy
- Quality checks of the use of the project’s corporate design by project grantees
- Planning and delivering PR activities for the events and programs
- Following up and reporting the major developments in the cultural scene
- Contribution to the project’s internal evaluation process and further development of online and print formats of “Spaces of Culture”
- Ensuring the implementation of agreements by partners regarding communication within the project’s network
Required qualifications:
- A university degree, preferably in communication, cultural management, cultural studies, or equal qualification
- At least two to five years of professional experience in communication/PR preferably in non-governmental organizations and/or arts and culture.
- Good IT knowledge, especially Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with CMS-programs, layout and graphics programs (Adobe CS, Photoshop)
- Knowledge of video editing will be an asset
- Professional experience in Social Media Management (Facebook und Instagram)
- Very good language skills, writing and speaking in Turkish and English. (C1/2)
- Knowledge of German or willingness to learn German
- Turkish work permit/ Mavikart, valid from the date of employment
- Very high organizational skills
- Flexibility and ability to cope with a fast work pace
- Very good communication skills, capacity for teamwork
- Self-reliance and reliability
- Creativity, eagerness to develop new formats and processes
- Intercultural competence
