Birmingham Rep was originally founded by Barry Jackson in 1907. The theater rapidly became one of most well-known repertory theater companies in the United Kingdom, reinventing the idea of Shakespeare in modern dress, presenting many world premieres and launching the careers of an array of British actors, including Laurence Olivier. After several periods of renovation and development, the company moved back to their improved home in 2013, following several years presenting shows in other theaters and site-specific spaces across the city. Today, Birmingham Rep is one of Britain’s leading producers of new theatre, commissioning newcomers as well as established theatre professionals. The theater makes a point to support the development of new ideas for productions through linking creative teams across many diverse communities of professional and emerging artists. Many new works which began life in Birmingham have gone on to become tours, films, and transfers to other theaters.

Play Synopsis: In a world where there are few real secrets left, Gordon might just have one. Laura and her powerful organization think so, and interrogate Gordon in order to get it. But secrets beget secrets, and soon Laura and Gordon have one of their own.
