Educational Training Series: Do Something!

DE Antidiscrimination Goethe-Institut (made with Canva)

In an increasingly polarized world, discussions about anti-discrimination are gaining in importance and urgency. In order to equip teachers of German and foreign languages for this challenge and to involve students directly, we are offering a specialized training series. The aim is to train teachers in how they can consciously and competently integrate the topic of anti-discrimination into their lessons and actively involve students in this discourse.

This interactive training series, which will offer both online and in-person formats, focuses on specifically integrating anti-discrimination topics into the curriculum. Given the complexity and sensitivity of this topic, renowned experts from various fields will be invited. They will share their in-depth knowledge and offer practical guidance, including strategies for thoughtful lesson planning and leading critical, empathetic conversations in the classroom. In addition, we will provide extensive teaching materials to support educators and students in effectively integrating these essential topics into their classrooms and daily lives. We invite you to become part of this important initiative and work together for a more inclusive education system.

This series is currently under development. More training opportunities covering topics such as anti-racism, anti-Islamophobia, anti-Semitism and more will be announced as soon as they are confirmed. Please monitor this website for the most up to date information.
