When his two mature children leave home just after graduating from school, a father stops taking care of his body as a protest. His son, Anton, takes part in a bed-rest-study to contribute to space travel research, while his daughter, Linda, searches for her first love. A film about the longing of exiled bodies.

Alisa Berger, born 1987 in Machatschkala, Dagestan and raised in Lviv and Essen, lives and works in Cologne, Germany. Prior to her studies, she worked as First Assistant Director for Philip Gröning. From 2010 to 2016, Alisa studied at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, creating her own fictional and experimental films and performative works. In 2013, she studied fine arts at the National University of Columbia, received a DAAD scholarship for Colombia, and was Artist-in-Resident at lugar a dudas in Cali, Colombia. Since 2010, she has been working together with the artist Lena Ditte Nissen as the artistic duo “bergernissen.”

In 2017, she received a DAAD scholarship for research in Tokyo on her next film, The Housewife. Her work is currently part of traveling exhibition Die Grenze (The  Border) organized by the Goethe-Institut, which has been shown in Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Eastern Asia. Die Körper der Astronauten (The Astronauts’ Bodies) was her diploma project at Academy of Media Arts.
